Okay, so the Olympics is the only thing we dominated UNTIL the Miss Universe pageant 2012!
The Miss Universe pageant is the most coveted competition in THE WORLD, beauty or otherwise. Okay, I have no idea who watches the Miss Universe pageant, but Miss USA just won it and it’s trending on Google so lets talk about it.
Congratulations to Olivia Culpo, the 20-year-old beauty from Rhode Island. She just became the first American to win the pageant since 1997.
Days before the competition she talked about the rigors of competing in Miss Universe.
“For Miss USA, I felt more pressure to be lean," she said. "Here, they're bigger and taller. The look of Miss Universe is more voluptuous."
Yes, you read that correctly. Her biggest challenge was figuring out how to get taller! #BeautyPageantProblems?
It paid off apparently, she wrote on Twitter that last night, “What an honor! This night was a dream come true. Thank you everyone for your support tonight!! USA finally did it!”
Fun fact: Olivia Culpo was rumored to be dating Ryan Lochte! They were photographed together one too many times, which in Hollywood is code for “dating.”
A couple months ago, Ryan talked about Olivia saying, “She is beautiful. I love hanging out with her. She has a great sense of humor. She makes me laugh. She’s just a good girl to hang out with.”
