In the midst of all the secret wedding rumors swirling around Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s names lately, there finally comes some clarification. The couple hasn’t married yet.
The Maleficent actress broke the news while being ambushed by paparazzi at an airport in Los Angeles.
TMZ has video of the encounter. Photogs flocked the A-lister on her way to the backseat of an SUV. But, being the true professional that she is, amidst the chaos, the calmest person in the vicinity was, in fact, Angelina.
“Is that a wedding ring, Angelina?” a photog shouted over and over, referring to a simple gold band she was pictured with during her visit to Africa.
She answered simply, “No, it’s not.” Then, as elusively as she had arrived, she was gone.
The actress inadvertently caused a big to-do in the tabloid scene while on her humanitarian trip to the Congo, visiting with rape victims. She wore a simple gold band instead of her massive engagement rock valued at $500K, which, considering the circumstances, admittedly would’ve been in poor taste.
As we previously reported, Brad and Angelina are said to have already signed a marriage license earlier this month, so the countdown to the big day might already be underway.
Angelina returned to L.A. on Wednesday. Any official word on a wedding date or plans have yet to be revealed.
