If you, like us, have a job that involves watching every daytime talk show that exists in America because that’s all that’s on TV from 7 a.m. until 2 p.m. when every other channel is playing old “Seinfeld” episodes and re-runs of the “Real Housewives of Orange County” from 2009, then you are probably following the host change-up saga happening on “The View” like a hawk.
First, let’s set the record straight on all the rumors: ONLY

Elisabeth Hasselbeck, who “The View” says has a “long-term” contract.
As for rumors that
Brooke Shields may join the gabfest, that’s also up-in-the-air, but Brooke would LOVE the opportunity. A source close to the actress told us, “She has been asked to host a few times and she enjoyed it! She has guest hosted 'The Today Show,' 'The Talk,' and 'Good Morning America'…people love her!”
So that’s what’s actually happening, but here’s who we would actually like to join the show.
Goldie Hawn: She tends to stay out of the limelight, but when she does do a rare interview, she’s hysterical in that kind of ditzy-flower-child-I-probably-have-a-medical-marijuana-card kind of way.
Mario Cantone: Mario Cantone is ONLY famous for his role as the gay friend on “Sex and the City” and his current gig is performing bizarre song medleys weekly on “The View.” Out of loyalty and sympathy, it’s about time "The View" promotes him to full-time panel member, only because it’s depressing every time we have to see him dress as a chicken in an “Ode to Barbara Walter's chicken pox” musical routine.
Roseanne Barr: She’s crazy and will give Whoopi someone to hang out with and since she’s a fierce Green Party/Libertarian she will always clash with Elisabeth Hasselbeck.
Paula Abdul: Besides the fact that she slurred her way through all those seasons of “American Idol,” her loopy demeanor is LOVED by housewives, who apparently find her prescription drug sedation “likeable” or “relatable.”
Kimora Lee Simmons: Kimora could be the best thing or worst thing to happen to the show. She’s definitely unfiltered, but her opinion on animal print anything and gold hoop earrings might clash with everyone else on
